Intro to Weight Training for Those 60 and Better

The body loses strength and bone density as we age. Strength training can help with both. Other benefits of exercising for seniors include increased joint mobility, increased circulation, balance, naturally lowered blood pressure and lower blood sugar. Exercise releases endorphins, which are an anti-depressant and stress reliever. This small group personal training class is taught by a trainer certified in senior population issues.

ZoneFit

What is ZoneFit? High energy, efficient, results oriented, motivational, group interval training class that combines cardio/core/strength components of fitness. 24-26 minutes of cardio work including treadmill, rowers, elliptical and spin bikes. 24-26 minutes of strength and core work.

Fitness Orientations

WSC encourages you to take advantage of our free group orientations on the cardiovascular, Magnum strength training and Free Motion equipment. This is a great opportunity to learn how to safely use each machine and learn which muscles are being targeted.

Boxing 101

Health Assessment

Includes a combination of the following: heart rate and optional blood pressure measurements, body fat percentage testing, circumference measures, before/after pictures, goal setting, your health age versus your real age and your current risk for heart disease, stroke, cancer and diabetes.
